THE 2008 PATRIOT RIDE
August 9th, 2008

Description:

A 56-mile ride on the Patriot Half IM bike course. Athletes will ride through 56 miles of woods, farmlands and lakes on mostly flat terrain and good pavement. This is the second year for the Patriot Ride, and this year we'll follow the revised 2008 course for the Setup Events Patriot Half Triathlon which eliminates the railroad tracks, the section of Route 60, and Cranston's Mill Pond Road.

Fee includes marked routes, rest stops, snacks and sag support (provided until 12:30pm).

Packet Pickup/Race-Day Registration 6:30am-7:30am, August 9th, 2008. The ride will start at 7:30am.

All riders will start the ride in the parking lot at the Jamestown High School.

Any athlete still on the course at 12:30 will ride without support.Please be aware of this if you are a slower rider and are planning to take longer than 4 hours to complete the course. You may start early, but support will not be on the course until the ride officially starts at 7:30.

HELMETS ARE REQUIRED!

Non-Members $35

August 5th & after:
CAT Members $35
Non-Members $40


Event Site Rules:

Cut-off Time: Participants may take as long as theywish to finish, however, all support will be pulled from the course at 12:30pm, and anyone still on the course will finish at their own risk.

Minimum Age: The minimum age allowed for participating in the Patriot Ride is 16 years old.


Policies & Refunds:

All registrations are non-refundable. Any registration fees for those riders who do not show up will be considered a donation to the Colonial Area Triathlon Club.
